DEACONS
The deacons at Gwinnett Bible Chapel have a primary role of serving the congregation as ministers of mercy, caring for practical and material needs (Acts 6). Some of the ways they serve the congregation are:
- Identifying and helping with financial and other needs, particularly for widows, the elderly, single parent families and those experiencing various other hardships
- Overseeing the collection and distribution of assembly resources
- Meeting regularly with the elders to communicate needs, review projects and assist in planning.
- Coordinating “chapel work days” and providing for property maintenance and improvement.
There are currently four men that serve as deacons at Gwinnett Bible Chapel. These capable men exercise spiritual discernment as they provide practical assistance and relief to individuals and families in the assembly.
