1. We must be willing to cross cultural barriers for the advancement of the Gospel, to reach out to the world, for churches to grow (Acts 11:18, 20).
2. Don’t wait to be forced out into missions (Acts 11:19; 8:4).
3. The hand of the Lord will be with you when you follow Him into missions (Acts 11:21).
4. Be willing to help and to serve in a work that God has already begun (Acts 11:22-24).
5. The main prerequisite for the Lord’s work in not great gifts, but great grace (Acts 11:22; see also 13:43).
6. When you sense God’s leading, encourage others to go with you (Acts 11:25-26).
7. Do not neglect to teach new believers, and to take them deep into the truth of the Gospel (Acts 11:26).
Prayer: Lord, as we look unto you and run the race, help us to help others see you as their Savior and Lord. May they also join with us in this race. Let the nations be glad and shout for joy because of Jesus. Lord, we await your loving embrace at the finish line. Keep us faithful, humble and pure in the race. Amen.
