Personal details
I am born and brought up in a Brethren family at the place called Krariely of Kerala, India. At the age of five my father expired which made my life miserable and unhappy.
At the age of thirteen on 14th Oct 1979 I realised that I am a sinner and was privileged to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord. I obeyed the Lord in baptism on March 1983 and was so active in fellowship with the Assembly.
The Lord gave me burden to study the Word of God; I joined in Hindustan Bible Institute &college at Chennai, India and have done three years of Theological studies.
I am in these Islands since 1989 and my family is here since 1994. My family members are wife Shiny, Sons Paul and Thomas.
Call of God for the Ministry
While I was doing my theological study, I involved in outreach activities. One day one old man came forward and asked me a question who is Jesus among you?, after the open air preaching. This question burdened me to think that if a person who is close to a city does not know who Christ Jesus is, then what would be the situation of the people in the farthest place of India. I started praying secretly to God that if you give me the confirmation of your call and send me I am willing to go to the farthest place of India for the gospel. After the studies I waited upon the Lord for six months and Lord burdened me for the place called Great Nicobar which is the southernmost part of India. With prayers of the Assembly we three likeminded people started to this land with a map of Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 29 April 1989 and reached this land on 12th May 1989. Remote, uncivilised, uncomfortable and unreached area but Lord prospered His work and enabled me to be an instrument for the establishment of four Assembly testimonies by this time. The other two brothers left the Islands due to some practical difficulties; Lord gave me enough grace to continue in these Islands for the Glory of God even after Tsunami attack and its aftershocks.
Vision and plan
Lord used us in these Islands in His work as He burdened us to work among the children; hundreds of children are touched by the gospel. Still we continue with the vision to reach the children through Children Bible Clubs, Vacation Bible Schools, Camps and retreats. Establishing Assembly testimony in every inhabited Island is another plan as we have 39 inhabited Islands. We know that for men it is impossible and with God it is possible.
These Islands are so popular for its aboriginal tribes. We have six tribal groups. Two are Mangloid stock and four are of Negritostock. Jerawas and Sentinals are so hostile and living in the forest naked. We pray to God for government to permit us to work among them.
Thanks
We Praise God and are indebted to His Saints who uphold us in their prayers and practically extended their helping hand for the furtherance of the gospel in these Islands.
